I help individuals engage in the process of healing, understand traumatic experiences, stand in their lived experience, learn to expand capacity for resilience, and create space to be present.
I grew up in the Atlanta area and now practice in Athens, where I focus on supporting the whole person — mind, body, and relationships — through compassionate, collaborative and research-informed care. My hope is to honor each client’s unique story and strengths, and tailor our approach to meet your individual needs while helping you build resilience, reconnect with purpose, and move forward with confidence.
Services
Life can feel overwhelming at times — whether you're navigating stress, anxiety, depression, loss, relationship difficulties, or simply feeling stuck. Individual therapy offers a supportive, confidential space to explore your thoughts and emotions, gain new perspectives, and develop healthier ways of coping.
Working one-on-one with a therapist allows you to understand yourself more deeply, identify unhelpful patterns, and build the tools you need to create meaningful change. You don’t have to have a diagnosis or a crisis to benefit from therapy. Many people seek support to improve their quality of life, strengthen self-esteem, or move through life transitions with greater clarity and confidence.
Therapy is an investment in your mental and emotional well-being. I welcome clients for individual therapy for ages 16 and up. Some exceptions can be made for special circumstances. I specialize in:
Anxiety
Depression
Self-concept
Family/Relational Concerns
Infertility and perinatal loss
Perinatal mood and anxiety disorders
High Stress Career and Career Services
Trauma
Life transitions
Eating concerns
Men’s concerns
About me
A wide range of experience informs my psychology practice.
I’ve worked with various home school and educational co-op groups to build my knowledge of childhood educational development and parenting resources. I enjoyed teaching art fundamentals and ceramics while earning my Master’s degree from the University of North Georgia in Mental Health Counseling. After graduation, I built a private practice around play therapy, children’s emotional regulation, and parenting education. To further build my skill set for adults, I completed my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at The University of Georgia and broadened my experience through community counseling agencies, college counseling centers, and The Regent Center psychological testing sites, focusing on anxiety, depression, eating disorders, trauma-focused healing and more. I have supported students at UGA in multiple capacities including through teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, supervising graduate students, CAPS, and advisement. Today, I serve the Athens area, focusing on individuals 16 and older with in-person and telehealth services. My practice is rooted in the principles of developmental psychology, psychoanalysis, internal family systems approach, creativity/art-therapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapy.
Childhood is the foundation to build our adult experiences. Growth is moving forward.
